Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of RN experience in Emergency Department License: State License required Certifications: ACLS, TNCC, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) Must-Have: TNCC certification required, not ENPC Description: An emergency is a serious symptom or medical condition caused by an illness or injury. Emergency departments are open 24/7, as patients may arrive any time of day or night. Consider the seriousness of the condition and symptoms when deciding to seek treatment. For serious injuries or medical conditions, seek care in an emergency room. Conditions needing care in an emergency department include: - Symptoms of a stroke, including sudden numbness in an extremity. - Symptoms of a heart attack, including chest pain and/or shortness of breath. - Seizures or loss of consciousness. - Severe injuries, such as fractures or head trauma. - Vomiting or coughing up blood. - Deep cuts or bleeding that won't stop. - Severe burns. - Severe abdominal pain. Weekend availability is required, every third weekend with flexibility for specific days.
