Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,005 per week in Adrian, MI

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of combined adult and pediatric emergency department experience required License: Must have Michigan license in hand Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - Experience with patient ratios of 1:4-5 - Epic charting experience required - Float within service line/scope of practice as needed Description: Float within service line and scope of practice as needed. Average daily census is 76 patients. Facilities have 27 beds in the Emergency Department. The patient age group includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Staffing ratios are 1:4-5 for all shifts. Typical chief complaints include chest pain, shortness of breath, mental health evaluations, OB/GYN emergencies, sepsis, stroke, abdominal pain, sprains, strains, fractures, trauma, and cardiac arrest. Facilities are designated as a Primary Stroke Center and are seeking Trauma IV designation. There is a dedicated room for SANE and forensic nursing. Emergency Department services are available 24/7 with board-certified providers, charge nurses, triage nurses, and house supervisor coverage. There are two designated resuscitation rooms and four dedicated mental health preferred rooms. Special skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, care for ventilated patients, and management of trauma cases. Isolation precautions and triage skills are also essential. Every other weekend is required. Experience with various patient diagnoses is necessary.
