Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experienced Emergency Department RN comfortable with common ED chief complaints. Experience in the care of trauma patients. Demonstrates a positive, flexible, team-oriented, and patient-centered personality. Description: This role involves working in an emergency department setting. The unit has 11 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 and 1:6, based on acuity. PCTs are scheduled mid-shift to assist RNs. RNs are responsible for running point of care labs. Assistance is available via phone for the setup and adjustment of respiratory equipment. The facility is equipped with cardiac and vital sign monitors in all patient rooms. The unit utilizes a documentation system for streamlined patient records. Requirements include performing IV insertions, Foley catheter insertions, and assisting with various ED procedures. The ideal candidate should have required certifications and experience in the emergency setting. A commitment to patient experience through the use of AIDET, narration of care, and SBAR for handoff communication is essential. The opportunity to work with new equipment and technology is available. Staff members can expand their skills with bipap and ventilator equipment. A fully staffed team is in development, enhancing collaboration and support.
