**Exciting Opportunity for Emergency Department Travel RN!**
**Job Description:**
- Location: 7101 SPID Corpus Christi, TX
- Unit: Emergency Department, 1st Floor
- Number of Beds: 16 with 8 hall chairs
- Staff per Shift: 6-7, depending on time of day
- Day Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 1 Triage Nurse
- 4-5 Nurses (including one mid-shift)
- 1 Unit Secretary
- 1-2 Techs
- Night Shift:
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 1 Triage Nurse
- 4-5 Nurses (including one mid-shift)
- 1 Unit Secretary (7pm to Midnight)
- 1 Tech
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 for low acuity (ESI 4 & 5), may take 6
- Equipment: Cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, HPs, Tonopen, and more
- EMR: Meditech with vital signs flow into the chart
**Ideal Candidate Profile:**
- **Must Have:**
- Level II or Level III trauma experience
- TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS certification
- Compassion, urgency, and teamwork mindset
- **Preferred:**
- CEN or TCRN certification
- CPI certification
- Over two years of Emergency Department experience
**Typical Procedures Performed:**
- Assessments and documentation
- Medication administration
- Wound care and splinting
- IV insertions
- Urine collection and lab draws
- Care for ESI levels 5 through 1
**Dress Code:**
- Preferred Scrub Color: Royal Blue
- Show team spirit with seasonal jerseys (e.g., Astros, Cowboys)
**Unit Policies:**
- Mandatory shift huddle at 7am and 7pm for all staff
- EMTALA training is required
