Description:
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team.
The nurse will provide care for patients presenting with a variety of conditions.
Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, and extremity pain.
Nurse to patient ratios will be 1:4.
The facility treats over 40 patients in the Emergency Room each day.
There is a Fast Track area and a separate triage area where travelers are required to perform triage duties.
Psych/seclusion rooms are available within the unit.
Security is in-house 24/7 and located in the Emergency Room.
Respiratory therapy is present 24/7 and handles ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs.
Phlebotomy services are available, and both nurses and phlebotomists may draw labs.
RNs are expected to troubleshoot equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices.
Self-scheduling and block scheduling are offered to staff.
All full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule.
Holiday requirements apply.
Floating may occur within designated zones as determined by management based on needs.
Scrub color is navy blue, and department-specific orientation will be assigned during the scheduled orientation week.
Cancellation policy allows for the potential cancellation of up to four shifts during the contract assignment.
The charting system in use is EPIC.
This position does not require a BSN.
