TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Compact license must be valid upon submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: Active compact license 1 year of Emergency Room experience Ability to float to different campuses Weekends required: Every other weekend First-time travelers not accepted Description: All previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. The emergency department typically treats adult and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include managing patients during ambulance triage, ED holding, and lobby triage. The department has 11 hallway beds and a total of 40 beds. Nurses will perform tasks such as breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, procedure sedation, and rapid sequence intubation. Other duties may include trach care, ventilator management, administration of blood/blood products, and cardioversion/defibrillation. Nurses are expected to obtain 12 lead EKGs and assist with CRRT/dialysis. The schedule will be posted six weeks in advance. Expected patient ratios are 4-5 patients per nurse. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Providers are required to work three of the five major holidays each contract year. Communication devices may be provided for work-related use at no cost to the provider. Completion of annual training modules is required.
