Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,038 per week in Hopewell, VA

**Join Our Dynamic ER Team!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Travel RN - ER - **Schedule:** 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 22 (with a vertical space area for additional patients) - **Number of Staff:** Approximately 50 **Staffing Structure:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 5-6 Nurses - 1 Tech - 1 Medic - **Night Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 5-6 Nurses - 1 Secretary - 1 Tech/Medic **Patient Care:** - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 - **Type of Equipment:** Phillips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser - **EMR System:** Meditech (EDM) **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform essential ER procedures, including: - Cardioversion - Central line placements - Manage cardiac arrests - IV insertions, EKG's, and basic ER skills - Pacemaker interrogation - Code Stroke protocol - Code Sepsis protocol - Suture/abscess setup **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - **Must Have Skills:** - Strong IV skills for adults and pediatric patients - Excellent communication skills - **Preferred Skills:** - Trauma experience and TNCC certification - Familiarity with Meditech **Personality Traits:** - Team player - Energetic and enthusiastic - Professional and respectful towards patients and team members - Ability to hold oneself and others accountable - Patient-centered and focused - Excellent attendance record - Adaptable to change **Required Certifications:** - BLS, ACLS, PALS & CPI **Additional Information:** - **Floating:** Potentially to our FSED (approximately 15 mins away) - **Dress Code:** Teal top with black or teal bottoms - **Weekends & On-call:** Every other weekend, at least 1 Friday & 1 Monday of a 4-week schedule.
