This Registered Nurse position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care within a long-term care facility in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. The role focuses on assisting with day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and maintaining accurate resident records. This role requires a compassionate professional with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and continuously monitor for changes in condition.
Administer medications accurately following the "5 Rights" of medication administration.
Perform wound care and assessments as clinically indicated.
Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and the healthcare team in a timely manner.
Maintain thorough and accurate resident records through meticulous charting and documentation.
Provide clinical leadership on the floor, assessing situations and directing care as needed.
Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Collaborate with Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure prompt response to resident needs, including answering call lights.
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
One (1) year of related Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
