Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required. License: Must have a current nursing license. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required. Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Triage experience is required. Candidate must have worked in an emergency department setting that has at least 45,600 visits per year. Travel experience is required. Every other weekend and every other holiday availability is required. Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have the ability to manage a fluctuating patient load and prioritize care effectively. Experience in working with diverse patient populations is essential. The role involves triaging patients and providing emergency interventions as needed. Bipap/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients are vital components of the role. Nurses must demonstrate competence in the interpretation of dysrhythmias and effective isolation precautions. Starting and maintaining IVs, as well as performing phlebotomy, are required skills. Candidates will support interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services. Effective communication and collaboration with the care team are necessary for optimal patient outcomes. Candidates must exhibit strong organizational skills to manage the demands of the emergency department. The position requires flexibility to float within skillset as needed. A willingness to take on additional responsibilities and adapt to changing circumstances is crucial.
