Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,060 per week in Clinton, MD

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years Required License: Must have appropriate state license in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, Cerner EMR experience Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Triage experience is required. Experience within the last 8 months in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) is necessary. Travel experience is required. Every other weekend and every other holiday availability is required. Float within skill set is required. Description: The candidate will work in a fast-paced emergency room environment. They will be responsible for providing high-level patient care and managing a variety of medical emergencies. Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills. The role includes caring for patients across all age groups. Daily census is approximately 130 visits. Candidates must have experience with Cerner EMR for charting. Additional skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, and performing phlebotomy. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including travel assignments. References will be required to verify experience and skills. The facility does not permit time off during the first two weeks of the assignment. The overall patient ratio is 4 patients per nurse during day and night shifts. Compliance with vaccination policies is expected.
