Job Title: Clinical Nurse I, II, III, IV Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Current RN license in New Mexico or current Compact state license Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, PALS Certification (or ENPC), TNCC or ATCN Must-Have: Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served. Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of the patient. Description: There is one position open for a Clinical Nurse. The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. Treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited program for Registered Nursing. Responsible to the Patient Care Director or Manager. Environment may include exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases. Works in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment. Subject to stressful professional relationships with varied working hours and flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Physical requirements include the ability to handle emergency situations, prolonged standing and walking, and the physical effort to position, push, and transfer patients or equipment. Ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, distinguish and identify different colors, and have hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctable limits. Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination are required.
