Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department setting License: DC or MD nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, Cerner EMR experience Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Triage experience is required. Travel experience is required. Every other weekend and every other holiday availability is required. Float within skill set is required. Description: The position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an emergency department with a high volume of patients. Candidates must possess strong prioritization and organizational skills. The emergency department sees approximately 130 patients daily. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit clerks. Top diagnoses in the emergency department will involve care for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates must be comfortable with managing ventilated patients and interpreting dysrhythmias. BiPAP and CPAP management experience is required. The emergency department requires expert skills in isolation precautions and PPE usage. Phlebotomy and IV management skills are essential for this role. Candidate should be ready to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions. No on-call requirements are included in this position.
