Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and trauma-related conditions
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, vasoactive medications, and other critical care treatments as prescribed
  • Operate and monitor advanced ICU equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring devices
  • Recognize and respond rapidly to medical emergencies, cardiac events, and changes in patient status
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Assist with emergency procedures, patient stabilization, and advanced life support interventions
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, procedures, and recovery expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and ICU quality standards
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during critical illness
Requirements
  • Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
  • Experience with ventilator management, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional critical care nursing
