Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Specialty: ER RN - Weekend: Every other weekend - First time travelers accepted - Locals not accepted within a 75 mile radius Description: New York license in hand is required. The shift schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts. Candidates must have experience with charting systems; Epic is specifically required. Charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience is necessary. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and CPI. Skills required include management of acute psychosis, blood product administration, intubation, and IV management. Experience with a variety of patient conditions, including but not limited to, abdominal pain, asthma, drug overdose, gunshot wounds, and mental/behavioral health conditions is expected. The unit typically accommodates a patient demographic that includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates will be required to float as necessary within the unit. The department experiences a high volume of visits, treating various acute and chronic conditions. Special procedures and interdisciplinary support are available, including physical therapy and social services. Security measures are in place within the department.
