# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Room – Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, rotating weekends, no on-call requirements

Highlights:

• High-volume emergency department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track beds, and 5 behavioral health rooms
• Varied patient ratios: 1:4 ED, 1:3 cardiac/trauma, 1:5 behavioral health
• MEDITECH EMR system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
• Diverse case mix including trauma, cardiac monitoring, behavioral health de-escalation, airway support, and resuscitation
• Active unit culture with UBC and Social Committee engagement
• Collaborative team environment with charge nurse support and mid-shift coverage

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas or ability to obtain
• BLS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• MEDITECH experience strongly preferred
• Trauma experience and inpatient holding experience preferred
• CPI certification a plus
• Emergency department experience with procedures including splinting, EKGs, central lines, airway management, and rapid infusion therapy
