Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Required; TNCC, ENPC or PALS Preferred; CEN or TCRN Preferred Must-Have: Compassion, Urgency, and Teamwork Description: The Emergency Department is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team. The unit has 16 beds with 8 hall chairs. Staffing consists of 6-7 per shift. The day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, and 4-5 RNs. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, and 4-5 RNs. Patient ratios are 1:4 for low acuity patients, with the potential for a maximum of 6. Equipment includes cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and more. Electronic medical records are managed through Meditech. Typical duties include assessments, documentation, medication administration, and wound care. All staff members are required to attend mandatory shift huddles. EMTALA training is also required.
