Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN ADN Certifications: - ACLS - PALS - BLS - TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Trauma - Stroke - STEMI - Sepsis - Moderate Sedation Description: This position involves working in a busy emergency department. The unit features 48 beds with additional flex space. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 4:1 in the main emergency department. The fast track area maintains a 6:1 ratio. You will utilize advanced medical equipment such as Zoll Defibrillators and blood warmers. The electronic health record system in use is Cerner. The patient population includes individuals with conditions such as ESRD, COPD, and psychiatric disorders. Team nursing and a pod system are utilized for effective patient care. An assigned social worker and unit educator support the department. The role requires managing various emergency cases, including abdominal pain and chest pain. Candidates should possess experience in emergency department settings.
