Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years experience, must be Cerner trained License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Preferred acute care facility experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and compassionate environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
