Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,111 per week in Midland, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency room settings of equivalent size. License: Active license required before the start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required (must be willing to obtain if offered). Must-Have: Recent emergency room travel experience (within the past 6-8 months preferred). Experience with adults and children. Level II or III trauma experience preferred. Description: Urgent need for a registered nurse in the emergency department. The position requires experience in managing a diverse range of medical situations. Skills needed include the ability to handle abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, and the management of ventilated patients. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in central line care, chest tube management, and drug overdose treatment. Other essential skills include interpreting arterial blood gases and managing dysrhythmias. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires the ability to manage violent behavior. Familiarity with charting systems is preferred. Candidates must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams. The patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census can reach up to 200. An on-site drug screen will be conducted prior to employment. Failure to pass the drug screen may result in cancellation of the assignment.
