**Exciting Opportunity for ER Registered Nurse!** Job Description: - **Position:** Emergency Room Registered Nurse - **Location:** SJMC EMERGENCY - **Unit:** ER RN SJMC EMERGENCY, 3211.701000.27437 - **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide exceptional care in a high acuity, high-volume emergency room. - Manage a diverse caseload of patients, including: - Geriatric and Adult patients - Pediatric patients (transport to CHOC as needed) - Conditions such as respiratory issues, stroke, abdominal pain, cardiac events, and sepsis. - Participate in a dynamic stroke and STEMI center. **Qualifications:** - **Experience Required:** - Minimum 1.5 years of experience in ER (2 years preferred). - Strong background in stroke care is a hard requirement. - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS. - **Preferred Certifications:** - TNCC, CEN, or CPN. - **Technology Proficiency:** - Epic experience highly preferred; call out if there is no Epic. **Work Environment:** - **Patient-to-Nurse Ratio:** 1:4. - **Floating Requirements:** May need to float between like units (Telemetry and ICU as needed). - **Weekend Availability:** Must be able to work at least 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle. - **RTO Restrictions:** Requests must be included at the time of submission; not guaranteed. - **Parking:** Free parking available. **Additional Information:** - Local radius for consideration is 50 miles; reach out for local rate. - No first-timers accepted; strong experience is essential.
