Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,143 per week in Gilbert, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, varying start times Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Room/Trauma License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC) required. Moderate conscious sedation competency testing required. Must-Have: 2 years minimum Emergency Room/Trauma experience. Description: The position requires flexibility in start times. The unit is equipped with 31 beds. Ratios are 1:3-4 with Charge Nurses and Unit Secretaries present. Nurse aides include Paramedics and CNAs. Every other weekend is required. Staff must work 2 of 3 major holidays during the holiday season. Scrub color is navy. The monitoring system includes GE Lifepacks. Ventilator equipment includes Puritan Bennett 840, Dräger, Vision BiPAP, and V60s. The unit has 2-6 Physicians and 2-4 mid-level providers in-house. Paramedics are available to start IVs. Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts vary between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. There may be floating between different ER locations. Floor-specific orientation typically lasts 2-3 days. Common diagnoses and types of patients include motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, strokes, heart attacks, and high-risk obstetrics. Approximately 11% of the patient population is pediatrics. Patients aged 15 and younger are stabilized and transferred. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment. The charting system utilized is Cerner.
