Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Evenings, varied start times Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, less than 2 years may be considered with at least 6 months of trauma level 1 experience License: Current RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC and ATCN preferred Must-Have: - Trauma level 1 experience - Ability to pass DYS exam prior to start - Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes Description: The emergency department is seeking an experienced registered nurse. The unit manages a variety of emergency cases, including trauma, burns, and pediatrics. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:4 patient ratio. Responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care, managing acute conditions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Flow through the system may include floating between multiple facilities within the network. Nurses will undergo skills assessments, including maintaining sterile fields during procedures. Continuous education will be provided on lifts, restraints, and wound care protocols. Nurse aides and patient care technicians will support nursing staff, allowing for focused patient care. Emergency medical records are maintained using a digital management system. Pharmacy and respiratory therapy services are available 24/7 for patient support. Weekend shift requirements include 4 shifts per month, with holidays based on unit discretion. Scrub color is navy.
