Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 (1900 - 0730 or 1500 - 0330) Experience: 24 months of Emergency experience required; must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale Must-Have: Completion of required certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Active PALS, TNCC certificates required NIH Stroke Scale certificate is nice to have and can be obtained during onboarding CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA certificates are preferred Description: We are seeking a registered nurse with experience in emergency care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 24 months of Emergency experience. Candidates must have completed a travel contract within the last 18 months. Experience with EPIC EMR is required. Candidates must possess active TNCC, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The profile should include specific skills relevant to medical surgical experience. A professional reference must be provided within the last 24 months. Availability to work 1-2 of the upcoming Summer holidays is required unless the unit is closed. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Active participation in a holiday rotation is expected. This position includes a mixture of patient populations, requiring drips and titrations. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1. Uniform colors include black, navy blue, and Caribbean blue. De-escalation training certifications such as CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA are preferred. The preferred candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in emergency situations. This position requires flexibility with scheduling and commitment to team objectives.
