Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience License: Required Certifications: Required Certifications - ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience Description: Medical professionals are invited to apply for the Emergency Room Registered Nurse position. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The unit has a capacity for acute and subacute care, with designated trauma bays. Nurses will be expected to float between various facilities within a designated area. A strong understanding of maintaining sterile fields is needed for all nursing skills performed regularly. All nurses will participate in laboratory simulations for Foley catheter insertion and related skills. The patient-nurse ratio is 1:4. The charting system used is Cerner. Common diagnoses include trauma, burns, and pediatric cases. The emergency department sees a high volume of patients yearly. Additional responsibilities include monitoring patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Weekend shifts are required as part of the unit's scheduling expectations. Candidates should possess the ability to read cardiac strips and manage the equipment used in patient care. Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals is essential. Nurses will adhere to all safety and administrative protocols while delivering patient care.
