TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Towson, Maryland, 21204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years required; will accept first-time traveler License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty - Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 - Must have experience charting in Epic Description: The Emergency Room Nurse will provide high-quality emergency care for patients of all age groups. The patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The average daily census is approximately 30, with a maximum of 40 beds. Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, heart conditions, chest pain, myocardial infarction, and strokes. The nurse will also encounter some trauma cases, while major trauma will be stabilized and transported to a nearby facility. Psychiatric patients will also be seen in this setting, requiring CPI certification for staff. The role includes managing arterial lines, administering blood products, and performing intubations among other critical responsibilities. The nurse will need to provide care for patients with various conditions, including drug overdoses, seizures, and infections. Training may involve working with IV teams, respiratory services, and social services among others. Weekend shifts are required, with flexibility in scheduling. Candidates must be comfortable with floating to different areas as needed. Adherence to all compliance and certification requirements is necessary.
