Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,167 per week in Springfield, MO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Current RN License in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA only; TNCC; NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: 1 year Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values. Demonstrated skill in human relations and communication is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Usually work in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., and pinching up to 15 lbs. Kneeling, crouching, and crawling are required minimally. Patient care activities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and established nursing practice guidelines.
