Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department- Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
- Handle common diagnoses such as STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
- Manage patient drips, including vasopressors, insulin, and sedation
- Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and adapt during peak census times
Requirements of the RN - ER/ED - Emergency Room/Emergency Department- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
- 2+ years of combined adult and pediatric ER experience
- Experience with Epic documentation software
- Triage, assessment, and rapid decision-making skills
- TNCC preferred, though not mandatory
