Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse with a strong background in vascular surgery to join our team in Zanesville, Ohio. This role involves circulating for complex vascular procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and surgical flow within a dynamic hospital environment.

The successful candidate will primarily support vascular cases but must be adaptable and willing to float to Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and General OR as needed. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, sterile technique, and collaborative teamwork, contributing to positive surgical outcomes across various specialties.

This is a 13-week contract assignment, commencing on October 5, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive circulating nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, with a primary focus on vascular cases.
• Ensure the operating room environment is safe, sterile, and equipped with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patient's physiological status during surgery, anticipating and responding to changes.
• Assist the surgical team with patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Document all aspects of nursing care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, scrub technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Float to CVOR and General OR as required, demonstrating flexibility and proficiency across different surgical specialties.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of two (2) years of current, hands-on experience as an OR Circulator with a heavy emphasis on vascular surgery.
• Proficiency and experience with DaVinci Robot.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to work or take call for upcoming holidays.
• Minimal Request Time Off (RTO) during the assignment.

• Expertise in vascular surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control principles.
• Proficiency in circulating duties for CVOR and General OR cases.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment, including the DaVinci Robot.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: AM (Days)
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Days per Week: 3 days per week (36 hours total)
• Call Requirements: 2 days of call per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every 2nd to 3rd weekend worked
