Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,182 per week in Alton, IL

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Evening/Night Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years of Emergency Room experience required License: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation of application process Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC preferred Must-Have: 2 years of Emergency Room experience Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting. You will treat an average of 65 patients per day. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. You will manage all common Emergency Room drips, including vasopressors and insulin. You will work closely with a team of physicians and mid-level providers. There is a charge nurse available 24/7 who is not assigned patient duties. Patient care technicians assist with procedures, daily living activities, vital signs, and transport. Respiratory therapy is managed in-house and RNs must troubleshoot equipment. You may be required to read and interpret cardiac monitors. X-rays are performed on-site, while CT scans are outside the Emergency Room. Laboratory draws may be conducted by both registered nurses and technicians. The position requires working every other weekend and every other holiday. Self-scheduling is allowed and block scheduling may be possible. Navy blue scrubs are required.
