Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,200 per week in Kankakee, IL

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (if traveler has extensive ER experience, TNCC may be waived) Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years recent experience in the specialty - Travel experience required - EPIC experience required Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work in a busy ER setting. This position involves treating a diverse range of patients, including trauma cases, strokes, and mental health emergencies. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1:4. There are both physician and mid-level providers in the department. A charge nurse is present to lead the team full-time. RN's and techs are responsible for performing blood draws and EKGs. The department operates with both a fast track and a separate triage area. Respiratory therapists respond to codes and handle all respiratory tasks. X-ray and CT services are available next door. Labs are drawn by RNs and techs. Shifts may vary, with weekend and holiday requirements every other occurrence. The unit has a Caribbean blue scrubs policy in place. There is no floating or standby requirement for this position.
