Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,203 per week in Muncie, IN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years required License: Must have a valid nursing license prior to the start date. Certifications: - ACLS - BCLS - PALS - NIH - TNCC Must-Have: - Level 2 trauma experience - Previous charge experience Description: This is a trauma center with 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds total using hall beds if needed. Staffing never exceeds a 1:4 ratio for regular emergency department patients. Hold assignments could include a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. This emergency department averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. All travelers are required to work two out of three major holidays. Candidates must possess the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Experience in phlebotomy, starting IVs, and administering continuous IV sedation is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with the care of ventilated patients and isolation precautions. The patient demographic includes neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Special procedures and care for various patient diagnoses will be required. Travelers must have two supervisory references available upon request.
