Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,203 per week in Muncie, IN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Nursing. License: Registered Nurse license must be active before start date. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS; preferred NIH, TNCC. Must-Have: Must have at least level 2 trauma experience. Previous charge experience required. Experience with patient ratios of 3-4 in high-acuity settings. Description: This is a trauma center with 48 beds that can flex up to 62 beds using hall beds if needed. Never staff more than a 1:4 ratio for regular emergency department patients. Hold assignments may include a ratio of 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds. The emergency department averages 6.6 behavioral health patients per day. Floating is 100% required; candidates will float within the hospital or nearby affiliates as needed. Candidates must be willing to work in a charge nurse role. Travelers are accepted, but locals are not. Candidates must have experience with management of dysrhythmias, starting IVs, and procedural sedation administration. This role involves working with various patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census averages 179 visits. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various services, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Candidates must work two out of three major holidays.
