Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience License: Active RN License Certifications: - AHA Certified BLS - ACLS - PALS - NRP (preferred) - TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: General Emergency Department nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education. Description: Join our team as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. Work in a 65-bed Emergency Department with a pod-based structure, including a separate pediatric pod and an acute mental health area. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population. The average census is approximately 230 visits per day. You will utilize the EMR charting system for documentation. Floating may be required to the ED Observation wing and other areas. Rotating shifts may occur, but this position primarily operates during the night. A clinician to patient ratio is typically 1:4. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong critical thinking and patient education skills. Preferred certifications include NRP and TNCC.
