Clinician to patient ratio is either 4:1 or 5:1 depending on unit needs. The patient population consists of adults with a bed count of 16 and a census range of 10-16. General ED nursing skills required include assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Asap, and Clin doc is necessary. Floating and rotating shifts are required for this position.
