Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years Emergency Nursing experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: - AHA Certified BLS - ACLS - PALS - NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred Must-Have: - General ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education Description: This position is for a nurse in the Emergency Department. The department has 65 beds and is pod-based, with a separate pediatric pod and an acute mental health area. The facility experiences an average of 230 visits per day. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Floating is required, and rotating shifts may be requested, though the night position does not rotate. Familiarity with the EPIC ASAP electronic medical record system is expected.
