Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in King City, California. This role offers an opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, serving a diverse patient population presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization of patients across all acuities, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments, including triage, vital signs, and medical history.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on assessment findings and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Initiate and manage IV access, perform wound care, and assist with various medical procedures.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to medical emergencies, and participate in resuscitation efforts.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

- Ability to operate and troubleshoot common ER equipment (e.g., IV pumps, monitors, ventilators).
