Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience Required License: Current RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC, CEN (preferred) Must-Have: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Description: Looking for an experienced Emergency Department RN. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of general Emergency Department experience. First-time travelers are not accepted. Weekend availability is required unless the posted schedule states otherwise. This unit handles high acuity patients with complex needs, including oncology, cardiology, and transplant history. There is also a small pediatric population and a fair number of psych/behavioral health patients. The Emergency Department can flex into hallway beds and has spaces available in a vertical care area. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional evaluations from manager or director level references. Experience in managing ventilated patients and interpreting dysrhythmias is preferred. The patient ratio is typically 1:4. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. Candidates will be required to float within the hospital as needed. References from supervisory roles will be required. Modules will be completed prior to the start date.
