Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,231 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling must meet departmental needs. No block scheduling available. Flexible assignment to all sections within the Emergency Department.

Highlights:

• 101-bed Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with high patient volume (100,000+ annual visits)
• Typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral health holds
• Cerner EMR system with state-of-the-art equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Comprehensive support staff including techs, unit clerks (day and night shifts), and dedicated cardiac monitoring and triage teams
• Strong focus on patient experience utilizing AIDET methodology and continuous patient communication
• Serve a vibrant, multicultural community representing over 120 languages

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Level 2 Trauma Center or Comprehensive Stroke Center experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications (must be obtained before start date): ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Demonstrated teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
