Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina
Start Date: September 28, 2026 Location: Western North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Every other weekend required, flexible scheduling to meet department needs; no floating outside the Emergency Department

101-bed Level II trauma center Emergency Department serving a high-volume facility with over 100,000 annual visits
Comprehensive stroke center with designated neonatal intensive care unit and pediatric emergency services
Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
Support staff includes dedicated techs for cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing, plus unit clerks available on all shifts
Cerner documentation system with GE monitors and Baxter pumps

Requirements:
Current North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits annually) preferred
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
Demonstrated teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
Flexibility to work in all sections of the Emergency Department
