Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Emergency Room License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state Certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS required Must-Have: - ER experience required - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required - BSN highly desired - Cerner experience required Description: The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment that treats a variety of patient cases. Emergency Department nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients in the Emergency Department range from those needing urgent care, including simple procedures, to psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients. Nurses will coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience.
