• Level 4 Trauma
• Stroke ready facility
• Covid vaccine required

General Information

• Beds: 17 exam rooms and 4 bed obs unit

Experience: 18 months

• First-time traveler: No

Patient Types:

• Post-surgical, CVA, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Trauma, etc. Trauma Level III, MI, Pediatrics, Obstetric emergencies

Patient Ratios: 1:4

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC

Skills required

• Airway management and RSI knowledge, cardiac drips, codes, CVA and STEMI management

Support on the Unit:

• 2 ED techs from 1100-2300, LPN 1500-0300
• Charge nurse: Possible to carry patient load
• Phlebotomy: Yes
• IV/VAT Team: VAT team during the day, US guided IV trained RNs in unit
• Resource Nurse: Charge nurse
• RT: Yes
• Hospitalist Yes 24/7
• OT, PT, ST: Yes

Charting System/Equipment:

• EMR: Epic
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Med Dispensing: Pyxis

Floating: No

Orientation:

• NEO
• (2) 12-hour shifts on the unit

Scheduling:
