Job Title: RN - ER Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment to make decisions regarding patient care. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the care plan and coordinates care delivery effectively. Evaluates progress toward achieving patient outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, family members, and healthcare providers for safe, healing environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Delivers health information directly to patients and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients and adheres to vaccination requirements.
