Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP preferred Must-Have: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS Strong primary nurse skills Travel experience required Description: This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The role allows for the opportunity to screen first-time travelers. The nurse will float between units as needed. Weekends are required, with a minimum of every other weekend. On-call duties are not required. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Special requirements include certifications in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS, with NRP highly preferred. The facility is classified as a Critical Access Hospital with a total of 23 staff beds. Staffing ratios during day shifts are approximately 4 patients to 1 nurse, with similar ratios during night shifts. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 10 to 15 patients. The number of beds available in the unit is 9. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and more. The hospital is equipped to handle various emergency procedures and patient diagnoses. Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities nearby. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or loss of guaranteed hours. Candidates should not reach out directly for interviews unless previously communicated.
