Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,255 per week in Madison, WI

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years. License: Registered Nurse license required (WI or Compact) Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), TNCC Must-Have: Epic experience required. Description: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30, include weekends and holidays. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Patient age groups served include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The emergency department provides comprehensive emergency care to a large number of patients annually. It serves as a critical entry point, rapidly stabilizing patients for admission or transfer. The department is recognized as a Pediatric Ready Emergency Department and has received multiple accreditations. It includes 40 exam rooms and the flexibility to support additional examination spaces during high demand. The team coordinates closely with emergency services for seamless care of critically ill patients. Nursing staff also serve in a rapid response capacity throughout the facility. Travelers are required to float as needed. Minimum experience required is two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty. Pass/Fail testing is required with strict passing criteria for telemetry exams. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: For the Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole) with no incorrect answers regarding third-degree heart blocks. A passing score of 80% or higher is required. For the Pediatric Exam: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia with a passing score of 80% or higher. If the traveler fails the second attempt, a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course will be required before a third attempt. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
