We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team in Delta, Colorado. This vital role involves providing immediate and comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and critical conditions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing rapid patient triage, conducting thorough assessments, and implementing individualized care plans. This position demands strong clinical judgment, exceptional time management, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical situations while adhering to hospital policies and the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional and patient-centered nursing care to individuals presenting to the emergency room.
Perform comprehensive patient triage, accurately assessing and prioritizing care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
Conduct timely focused assessments of patient chief complaints in accordance with established triage guidelines.
Administer medications, perform wound care, collect blood samples, and assist with safe patient mobility.
Ensure proper maintenance and stocking of medical supplies and equipment within the emergency department.
Adhere strictly to hospital policies, procedures, and the Colorado Nurse Practice Act in all aspects of patient care delivery.
Required Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification upon hire or within 1 year of employment.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
At least two (2) years of experience in critical care nursing.
Soft Skills: Exceptional time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, strong communication (verbal and written), ability to work effectively under pressure, adaptability, teamwork, and empathy.
