Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,260 per week in Auburn, NY

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience with 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required License: Active state nursing license required (NY or compact) Certifications: Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS Must-Have: No disciplinary issues on nursing license Description: We are seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse. The position involves working three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend is required. Clinical skills required include: Interpreting and managing heart rhythm changes. Caring for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues. Administering blood products. Managing central lines. Starting and maintaining IVs. Administering IV sedation and vasopressors. Caring for stroke patients. Caring for ventilated patients. Managing BiPAP/CPAP. Interpreting arterial blood gases. Following isolation precautions. Performing triage. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. Time off will not be approved after the offer. Candidates must arrange coverage for any additional shifts if needed. An interview will be conducted via phone or virtually. Candidates should be prepared for a telemetry assessment covering cardiac rhythm interpretation. Nurses are responsible for independently measuring telemetry strips and interpreting cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients under their care. This evaluation ensures proficiency in essential patient care skills. If a candidate does not pass the initial assessment, educational resources will be provided, and a remediation test will be administered during the first week of their contract.
