Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,260 per week in Omaha, NE

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, NRP Preferred Must-Have: Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience Description: Unit operates in a fast-paced environment with high acuity. The department is certified as a Level I Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. It features 20 beds, including 5 trauma beds and 10 observation beds. A separate triage area is available with 3 triage beds. Security is in-house 24/7 within the emergency department. Staff-to-patient ratios are 1:4 in zones, 1:6 in fast track, and 1:5 in observation, with a 1:1 ratio in ICU/trauma. Common patient diagnoses include trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes. Staff members are supported by ED physicians and mid-levels. A charge nurse is present on each shift. Nurse aids, EMTs, paramedics, and patient sitters are available with specified duties. Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips. Shifts may vary from 0700 to 0300, and scheduling will be managed by leadership. Weekend and holiday requirements vary based on department needs. Nurses will float to the observation unit and freestanding emergency department at least once weekly. Limited time off will need to be provided upfront. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment. Charting is conducted through a specific electronic health record system.
