Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Charting experience in Epic - Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4 Description: This position involves floating between units. Candidates should be open to variable evening and night shifts. Weekend work is required every other week, with the possibility of working two consecutive weekends, although this is rare. The expected patient ratio is 1:4 during days and nights. This is a variable evening and night shift position. The facility operates as a short-term acute care facility with a total staff bed count of 59. Expected patient diagnoses include all age groups and various emergency cases. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and social services. Candidates should have experience in general emergency department care for both adult and pediatric patients. Skills in triage, blood product administration, IV management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias are required. Candidates must be willing to float to meet unit needs. Working three out of the five major holidays is a requirement. Applicants must possess a valid vehicle for transportation to the assignment. No phone calls or inquiries to facility contacts are permitted unless an interview has been scheduled. Travelers may be expected to float between affiliated facilities as needed. All requests for time off must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment.
