Job Title: ED RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred, but 1 year will be considered License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, CPI Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Required to work every other weekend Holidays required as scheduled Travel experience is desirable Patient ratio experience of 1:4 Description: The Emergency Department RN will provide care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. The average daily census in the department is 130, with a total of 47 beds available. Patient diagnoses include a wide range of medical conditions in a fast-paced environment. The RN will be responsible for various critical skills including IV management, intubation, and procedural sedation. The position involves managing complex medical cases such as acute psychosis and trauma. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Social Services, and Respiratory Services is essential. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the scope of their specialty. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and PALS are required for this position. Travelers must fulfill compliance documents within specified deadlines. This role is structured for self-scheduling with a favorable work-life balance. Candidates must have experience in charting systems, preferably Epic. Successful applicants will maintain high standards of patient care in a dynamic and demanding setting.
