Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 05/18/2026 - 07/12/2026 Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Cerner and Epic EMR experience Description: This position will provide support for the unit in preparation for the EMR go-live. Cerner and Epic EMR experience is required. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment. Passing this test is mandatory to work in the Emergency Department. The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. The RN is capable of triaging safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. RNs coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. There is an every other weekend rotation and an every other holiday requirement. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of assignment. Passing this test is required to work in the Emergency Department.
